New Delhi, 6 November (IANS). The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Thursday announced the opening of booth booking for the WaveX booth at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Goa, 2025. ‘WaveX Booth’ is an exclusive startup showcase zone at Waves Bazaar.
Waves Bazaar is being organized from 20th to 24th November, which will be located near the Film Bazaar. Additionally, it is IFFI’s prime networking hub, renowned for the participation of filmmakers, producers and media professionals from across the globe.
The initiative provides a platform for emerging startups in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR) and entertainment sectors to connect with global industry leaders, eventers, and production studios.
According to the information given by the Ministry, each booth is being made available on sharing basis at a price of Rs 30 thousand per stall. Apart from this, participating startups are being provided with 2 delegate passes and lunch and refreshments. Additionally, startups will have the opportunity for an evening of networking and face-to-face presence among global film, media and tech professionals.
The official statement said that startups wishing to participate in the event can register at waves.wavesbazaar.com. Apart from this, any question related to the event can also be asked.
It has been said by the Ministry that only limited seats will be available for the stalls and the location will also be given on first come first serve basis.
IFFI, Goa is one of the most important film festivals in Asia. It was established in 1962 to serve as a meeting ground for filmmakers, artists and cinema lovers.
On the other hand, ‘WaveX’ is a national startup accelerator and incubation initiative of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. This initiative promotes innovation and entrepreneurship in the AVGC-XR and media-tech ecosystem. WaveX enables creators and startups to scale their ventures through collaboration with leading academic, industry and incubation networks.
