Las Vegas, January 5 (IANS). Samsung Electronics has said that it will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in all its products. The company aims to become an ‘AI companion’ in people’s everyday life, which understands and helps their needs.

Roh Tae-moon, President of Samsung Electronics, said during an event in Las Vegas, USA that the company wants customers to have a better and useful experience by using AI in all Samsung products and services.

The event was organized ahead of the world’s big tech event Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026. CES 2026 is scheduled to officially begin on Tuesday.

President Roh Tae-moon said that Samsung’s goal is to make AI easy and common in people’s everyday lives.

Under this thinking, Samsung has introduced a new AI platform named ‘Vision AI Companion’. This platform is specially designed for Samsung TV, which can understand the needs and demands of the user better than before.

Samsung said that its new TV coming in 2026 will have HDR10 Plus advanced technology, due to which the brightness, color and movement quality of the TV will be better than before and the viewing experience will also be better than before.

Samsung also talked about its ‘Home Companion’ vision. Its aim is to make AI-enabled home appliances easier to do.

These devices will have screens, cameras and voice recognition technology, so that they can understand the needs of the user. Kim Chol-gi, head of Samsung’s digital appliances business, said the company’s strong and connected systems will bring this vision to fruition.

Samsung said it will also use AI technology in its smart home platform ‘SmartThings’. With this, different appliances in the house will be able to work better by connecting with each other and will be able to understand the needs of the user.

Apart from this, the company said that it will also use AI in Samsung Health app. This app will collect data related to the user’s sleep, eating habits and daily activities, so that the early symptoms of diseases can be identified.

Samsung Health app will give the user exercise suggestions and also give healthy food recipes based on the items kept in the fridge. Along with this, Samsung has introduced a new technology that can detect early signs of brain-related problems by looking at a person’s walking speed and finger movements.

Roh Tae-moon said that Samsung’s products, services and AI technology are meant to make people’s everyday lives easier and better. He said Samsung wants to be a trusted AI partner in the world by using AI in a responsible and appropriate way.
