The minister said that these policy decisions are strengthening the future of India and giving the country a new identity in the global economy.
He further said that important steps like ease of doing business, free trade agreements and public trust are making India self-reliant as well as leading to a competitive and reliable economy.
These comments of the Minister have come at a time when India is rapidly making trade agreements with developed countries, so that new opportunities can be created for businessmen and entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the ‘Startup Pe Charcha’ event organized at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Friday, Piyush Goyal said the recent free trade agreements are providing new foreign markets to Indian goods and services.
He said that these agreements provide confidence and stability to investors, due to which they are coming forward to invest in India.
Piyush Goyal said that these trade agreements are giving huge opportunities to startups and entrepreneurs to grow their businesses across the world.
He appealed to Indian startups to work together with foreign startups, especially in areas like services sector, transportation, digital payments, environment protection, renewable energy and modern technology.
The minister said that the biggest change in the new India is the increase in self-confidence of the youth.
Goyal said today’s youth are not afraid of taking risks, are willing to start their own businesses and experiment with new ideas, which marks a clear shift from the earlier mindset when people preferred only a secure job.
