Elon Musk will build a factory on the moon! Satellites will run on AI, he said - 'There will be no need of humans for coding...'

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently said that if anyone has the ability to build the world’s fastest AI infrastructure, it is Elon Musk. Now, Musk laid out an even bigger vision at an internal meeting at his AI company, xAI. He is working on a plan to build an AI satellite factory on the moon. He also said that there will be no need of engineers for coding by the end of this year.

Plan of AI factory on the moon
Elon Musk says that humans are currently using only 1 percent of the energy available on earth. He told in an internal meeting that if we use even one millionth of the sun’s energy, it will be millions of times more than the energy currently used by humans. To use this energy, humans will have to go beyond the boundaries of the Earth into space.

mega data center in space
Elon Musk told about his plan to build a data center with a capacity of 100 to 200 gigawatts in space with the help of his space company, SpaceX. Initially, their focus will be on Earth’s orbital data center. However, he believes that if more than 1 terawatt capacity is required, they will have to go to the moon. For this, he is also preparing to set up an AI satellite manufacturing factory there.

What is Musk’s ‘Microhard’ project?
Musk has started working on his plan to set up an AI factory on the moon. He mentioned the Microhard project, which is actually a satire on Microsoft. Under this project, Musk is working on a plan to design complex machines like rocket engines using AI, and he believes that this will eliminate the possibility of disruptions due to human error.

For this, Musk has divided his AI company, xAI, into four parts. The first team is Grok, which will work on existing chatbots and voice assistants. The second coding team will develop developer tools. Third, the Imagine team will develop video generation tools. The fourth team, MicroHard, will work on advanced hardware and machine design using AI.

No humans needed for coding
Musk said that by the end of this year the need for humans for coding will end. Their AI model, Grok Code, will be ready in two to three months. This model will write the code itself like an experienced engineer. Additionally, it will fix bugs in the software itself. He believes that this model will be able to do difficult coding without human intervention.
