Today’s youth have become highly dependent on AI (Artificial Intelligence). Many people even use it to fight loneliness. From handling exams and treating minor illnesses to completing office work, people are using AI for everything. Although it can be quite useful for some tasks, scientists have warned that as convenient as it is, it is also dangerous. He has given many reasons for this.

effect on brain

Scientists have proven through many studies that using AI tools has a significant impact on the thinking and understanding abilities of the brain. In one study, a group of 54 volunteers, mostly 18-19 years old, were asked to write an essay. These 54 people were divided into three groups. One group was asked to use ChatGPT, another group used Google AI, and the third group wrote the essays on their own. During this process, scientists used EEG headsets to track brain activity.

Surprising results emerged

The results were quite surprising. When teachers checked the essays, they found that the writing of those who used AI lacked depth and emotion. Additionally, people using ChatGPT were found to have less brain activity. Those who used Google AI had more brain activity than those who used ChatGPT, and teachers found that their essays had slightly more depth. However, teachers felt most connected to the essays that people wrote themselves. Their mental activity was also found to be the best and highest among all the groups.

Consequences of over-reliance on AI tools

According to research, people who are heavily dependent on these AI tools have the lowest brain activity. His memory was also very weak. This is of particular concern for young people who use these tools in their early years, when their brains are still developing. Their mind is very weak from the beginning. Therefore, AI tools must be used with caution, otherwise the brain will completely lose its capabilities.
