Ahmedabad, October 9 (IANS). Karan Adani, Managing Director, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) on Thursday said India is moving towards a cleaner and sustainable future and Gujarat is playing a major role in the country’s energy transition.
Addressing the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference’, Karan Adani said that from the desert of Kutch to the coast of Saurashtra, the state is shaping the energy landscape of tomorrow.
Karan Adani said, “At Adani Group, through Adani Green Energy, we are proud to be part of this transformation. We are building the world’s largest energy facility with a capacity of 30,000 MW in Khavra, Gujarat.
He also informed that Adani Group is building manufacturing ecosystems in Solar, Wind, Copper, Green Hydrogen and Green PVC to ensure that India’s green transition is truly ‘self-reliant’ and future ready.
He further said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat has become a symbol of India’s progress and self-reliance.
Karan Adani said, “It has become a place where enterprise meets inclusion and policy meets purpose. For us at Adani Group, Gujarat is not just the place from where we started. It is our home, our foundation and our future. Gujarat is contributing significantly to India’s growth story today.”
He further said that every entrepreneur, worker and young student here believes that the development of Gujarat is the development of India. This belief is the biggest strength of Gujarat.
Karan Adani said, “Production in India, innovation in India and empowerment in India is the meaningful form of self-reliance. Our partnership with Gujarat has been in the field of ports, logistics, energy and new age materials for three decades. As a company, we have invested Rs 2 lakh crore in the last five years.”
He said that such regional conferences are very special as they provide opportunities for in-depth solutions, consultation talks and new collaborations on new opportunities.
Karan Adani said, “For the Adani Group, Gujarat will always remain the center of our investment, the center of our job creation and the center of our social impact.
