Mumbai, October 31 (IANS). According to the official information given by NSE IX GIFT Nifty on Friday, GIFT Nifty has achieved a major success by achieving its highest ever monthly turnover of $ 103.45 billion (Rs 9,16,576 crore) with 2.06 million contracts for October this year.
This achievement exceeds the previous record of $102.35 billion set in May 2025. This milestone reflects the growing global interest and confidence in Gifty Nifty as a benchmark for India’s growth story.
“We are happy to see the success of GIFT Nifty and heartily thank all the participants for their tremendous support and making GIFT Nifty a successful contract,” NSE said in an official statement.
According to official information, trading turnover on NSE IX has been growing rapidly since the commencement of full-scale operations of GIFT Nifty on July 3, 2023. From the first day of full-scale operation to October 30 this year, GIFT Nifty has seen a total volume of over 52.71 million contracts and a total turnover of $2.39 trillion.
Earlier, NSE IX had reported that its International Nifty Futures Contract GIFT Nifty achieved record open interest on October 24.
It was informed in the statement that GIFT Nifty saw an open interest of 4,10,100 contracts worth $21.23 billion (Rs 1,86,226 crore), which was more than the previous high of $20.84 billion recorded on September 24 last year.
International Multi Assets Exchange NSE IX was launched on June 5, 2017 at GIFT City, which is affiliated with the International Financial Services Center Authority (IFSCA). NSE International Exchange has a market share of over 99.7 per cent, reflecting its significant leadership in GIFT IFSCA.
