OpenAI has launched a great offer: The company is running a limited time promotional campaign in which users are getting a one-month free trial of ChatGPT Plus subscription. The offer is confirmed to be available to users in India, and is likely to be available in other countries and regions as well. For Indian users, this is the second such offer from the company. Earlier, in November 2025, ChatGPT Go was given free for one year. Although a free trial for the first month of subscription is not a new concept, this is the first time that the artificial intelligence (AI) giant has offered such a free trial for its main subscription plan.

The offer was first spotted by Tibor Blaho, lead engineer at AIRPM, who shared details of the offer in a post on X. According to a report by Gadgets 360, this offer is available as a one month free promotion in India. Interestingly, this offer is not only for existing users, but also for those who have never purchased a subscription before. Even users with a ChatGPT Go subscription can upgrade to Plus.
However, it is necessary to share financial information (like credit card, UPI, or net banking details) before availing the trial period. This means that if a user is not careful in unsubscribing, the next month’s charge will be automatically deducted due to the auto-renewal mandate.
ChatGPT Plus Subscription
With this subscription, users get access to the company’s latest AI models, Sora-powered video generation, more memory for better context retention, priority access to codecs for code writing and support, and higher rate limits. ChatGPT Plus subscription usually costs ₹1999 per month.
