New Delhi, April 17 (IANS). IndiaAI Mission, running under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has selected 10 Indian Artificial Intelligence (AI) startups for the second batch of its Global Acceleration Programme. The aim of this initiative is to help Indian companies grow internationally. The government gave this information on Friday.
The IndiaAI Startups Global Acceleration Program is being run in partnership with Station F and HEC Paris, Paris. This program is part of the government’s larger plan to strengthen India in the global AI ecosystem.
According to the government, 10 startups are selected in each batch, who are given resources, mentorship and international networking opportunities under this program, so that they can grow their business globally.
The program is in line with India’s National AI Strategy, which emphasizes international collaboration, engagement with the global innovation ecosystem and expansion into overseas markets.
The startups selected for the second batch include AI Health Highway, Aviros, Cognecto, Flaunt, GreenFi.AI, ClimateForce Technologies, Infiheal HealthTech, Inlastro Learning, Predco, Skyserve (Highspace Technologies) and Testing Solutions.
These startups have been shortlisted through a multi-stage selection process. All these selected companies will first participate in a three-week online program, after which they will get a three-month residency in Paris.
The government said that during this period, startups will get the opportunity to get mentorship, guidance from industry experts and connect with the big tech ecosystem of Europe.
Earlier in March, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasad had told in Parliament that under the IndiaAI Mission, more than 38,000 GPUs have been added and 190 projects have been approved. Apart from this, 10 semiconductor units have also been approved under the Semicon India Programme, which will boost chip manufacturing in the country.
He also informed that 38,231 GPUs are being made available to startups and educational institutions through a shared computing facility at a discounted rate of about Rs 65 per GPU per hour.
