New Delhi, July 6 (IANS). Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has said that in today’s era when the world is facing geopolitical tensions and fragmentation of global supply chains, India has a golden opportunity to become the ‘connector economy’ of the world. He believes that India can play the role of a reliable link between global markets, supply chains and different geopolitical groups.
In its letter to shareholders on Monday, Anand Mahindra said India’s strong economic position, strategic geographical location and ever-growing credibility in the world are placing it at the center of the emerging global economic order.
He wrote, “India’s economic strength, strategic position and growing global credibility are placing it at the center of the new world order.”
Mahindra Group’s annual report comes at a time when the company has recorded the best financial performance in its history in the financial year 2025-26.
The company said that during this period it achieved the highest ever consolidated revenue and profit. It also further strengthened its leading position in SUVs, tractors, electric mobility and many emerging business areas.
According to Mahindra Group, this record performance is the result of its diversified business portfolio and disciplined execution across all sectors.
Dr. Anish Shah, Group CEO and Managing Director of Mahindra Group, said in his letter that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is going to be the mainstay of the company’s future growth strategy.
He said that the group is rapidly increasing the use of AI in its various businesses, thereby making operations more efficient, helping in better decision making and also improving customer experience.
Dr. Shah said that Mahindra is among the few Indian companies which are implementing AI on a large scale across the entire organization instead of limiting it to just one department.
Mahindra Group also said in its annual report that last year it received many important honors at the international level.
The company featured in Time’s ‘World’s Best Companies’ list, while it also received the ‘Outstanding Company of the Year’ award at the India Business Leadership Awards.
Additionally, the company’s innovation portfolio has also continuously expanded. Mahindra Group said it now holds over 1,300 patents, reflecting its strong focus on research, technology and development of new products.
The group says it is continuously moving towards establishing itself as a globally recognized, innovation-based company.
