Nowadays a news is spreading very fast on social media and internet. It is being claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin has got a ‘clean chit’ after Jeffrey Epstein’s files came to light. People are saying that Putin did not kidnap Ukrainian children but saved them. The reality is that this claim is completely false and Epstein’s files have nothing to do with the court case going on against Putin.
🚨: In Dubai, an unknown person broke the glass of the car and slept inside, the court sentenced him to jail and a fine of 1000 dirhams.
What is Putin’s connection with the Epstein files?
Jeffrey Epstein was an American businessman who was seriously accused of exploiting underage girls. Recently, in the documents related to him made public by the court, Vladimir Putin’s name has appeared more than 1000 times. Investigation has revealed that this name is mostly found written in old newspaper cuttings or emails.
There is no evidence in these documents that Putin ever met Epstein. There is no information in these files about the war between Russia and Ukraine or even about children. Being named in the files does not mean that a person is a criminal. The Kremlin has called these things complete nonsense.
ICC warrant and the truth about child kidnapping
The allegations against Putin are a completely different matter. The International Criminal Court i.e. ICC had issued an arrest warrant against Putin in 2023. This warrant was issued on charges of illegally taking Ukrainian children to Russia. The court says that removing children from their country without their consent is a crime.
This warrant has not been affected by Epstein’s files and this warrant is still fully valid. Two parties have different views on this matter:
Russia’s side: Moscow says they have sent the children to a safe place on humanitarian grounds to protect them from bombing.
Ukraine’s side: Ukraine and Western countries allege that Russia has abducted the children without their consent and has made their return difficult.
