New Delhi, June 10 (IANS). Yael Smadja, co-founder of India Global Innovation Connect (IGIC), has praised Indian startups. Smadja, who came to attend the IGIC program organized in Delhi, said that the startup here has now become a global story.
Speaking to IANS, the co-founder of IGIC said, “India’s startup ecosystem is no longer limited to India only, but has made its mark globally.” He said that IGIC aims to connect the Indian startup and innovation ecosystem with the innovation networks of other countries in the world.
Smadja said, “The Indian startup ecosystem is no longer just an Indian story, but has become a global story. The basic objective of IGIC is to connect the Indian innovation ecosystem with foreign ecosystems and create new opportunities for collaboration between them.”
He told that for the first time this year IGIC is being organized in New Delhi, about which the organizers are very excited. Said that this time the participation of the Government of India has also been ensured in the program, which will further strengthen this initiative.
Yael Smadja said that this platform has brought together various stakeholders, industry representatives, entrepreneurs, investors and representatives of the foreign startup ecosystem. This will promote innovation, investment, technical cooperation and exchange of knowledge.
He expressed confidence that IGIC will play an important role in strengthening startup collaboration between India and other countries of the world and this platform will pave the way for new opportunities for global innovation partnerships.
Many experts from the technical world will gather in the two-day program (10-11 June) organized in Delhi. According to the information given in the official website, the world is rapidly moving towards a multipolar technological and innovation system, the impact of which is not limited only to the economy, but is also deeply affecting geopolitics, security and social structure. Amidst this changing global scenario, a panel of experts will discuss the new global balance of technological innovation and India’s role in it.
The changing balance of technological capabilities between the US and China will be analyzed during the discussion. Also, an attempt will be made to understand where India stands in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Tech and emerging technologies and what could be its role in the future.
