New Delhi, October 21 (IANS). India’s largest budget airline IndiGo on Tuesday said it will restart flights from Terminal 2 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport from October 26. Earlier this year, the airline had temporarily shifted its flights from here due to maintenance work.

The move is part of the airline’s revised terminal plan which aims to improve passenger convenience and streamline its operations at the airport.

The airline will now operate flights from all three terminals – Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

Under the new plan, all IndiGo flights with numbers 6E 2000 to 6E 2999 will operate from Terminal 2.

Flights 6E 5000 to 6E 5999 (including all international flights) will operate from Terminal 3.

The airline said that all other domestic flights of IndiGo will continue to operate from Terminal 1 only.

“In order to facilitate customer convenience and enhance airport efficiency, IndiGo will operate flights from 6E 2000 – 6E 2999 from Terminal 2 and flights from 6E 5000 – 6E 5999 with all international flights from Terminal 3. All other domestic flights will continue to operate from Terminal 1,” the airline said.

This change follows a temporary shift earlier this year to April 2025, when all IndiGo flights were shifted from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 due to maintenance work.

With the reopening of Terminal 2, the airline has now resumed normal operations at all terminals.

IndiGo advises passengers to check their flight number and terminal details carefully before travelling, as there may be changes in flight schedules with change in terminal.

Passengers can get the latest information on IndiGo’s website or mobile app.

Earlier, IndiGo had also announced the launch of daily direct flights between New Delhi and Guangzhou, China from November 10.

The airline will use Airbus A320 aircraft on this route. The flight from Delhi will depart at 9:45 pm and reach Guangzhou at 4:40 am, while the return flight will depart at 5:50 am and reach Delhi at 10:10 am.

Air connectivity between China and India was closed since 2020. In such a situation, this flight is being considered a big step towards air connectivity between India and China.
