In a significant step for the convenience of the general public and legal professionals, the Supreme Court has launched an AI-based chatbot named “Su-Sahay”. Along with this, a new digital initiative named “One Case, One Data” has also been launched, which aims to integrate the information received from courts across the country into a single system. Chief Justice Surya Kant said that the objective of these new facilities is to provide easy and fast access to court related information to the public. It is expected that this will make tracking cases and judicial processes easier than ever.

Court information will be linked through “One Case, One Data”

Chief Justice Surya Kant on Monday announced the “One Case, One Data” initiative before the commencement of court proceedings. The purpose of this new framework is to integrate information received from the High Court, District Courts and Taluka Courts. Currently, people have to visit different portals and websites to get information related to the case, which often causes a lot of confusion and hassle. After this new initiative, preparations are underway to make all the information related to the case available in a single framework. This will help in strengthening and streamlining the case management system. Furthermore, it is expected that this will make it easier for common citizens to understand and track the status of their respective cases.

“Su-Sahay” chatbot launched on Supreme Court website

The Supreme Court has also launched an AI-based chatbot named “Su-Sahay” for its official website. This chatbot has been created by the National Informatics Center (NIC) in collaboration with the Supreme Court Registry. It is designed to provide citizens with easy access to information about important court-related services and procedures. According to Chief Justice Surya Kant, its objective is to provide an easy and convenient interface to the citizens, through which they can get the necessary guidance and information without any hassle. It is expected that this chatbot will be especially helpful for those who do not have much knowledge of legal procedures.

Digital justice system will get new momentum

Chief Justice Surya Kant described both these initiatives as major steps towards the digital transformation of the Indian judiciary. Praising the Supreme Court Registry, NIC officials and members of the Bar, he said that these collective efforts will ultimately benefit all concerned. Over the past few years, the use of digital technology has increased rapidly in the banking, telecom and government sectors, and now, the courts are also moving in the same direction. Efforts are underway to make judicial services more transparent, faster and easily accessible to the common people by using AI and data-based systems. It is expected that in the times to come, such technology can make the functioning of the courts even more streamlined.
