Oppo has quietly increased the prices of some mid-range smartphones. The prices of Oppo K14, Oppo K14x and Oppo A6s have been changed; All RAM and storage variants of these phones have become costlier, with prices increasing by up to ₹4,000. It is believed that the increasing cost of components and shortage of memory chips are the reasons for this price increase.
Which phones have become expensive and by how much?
The Oppo K14 variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is now priced at ₹21,999; It was initially launched for ₹19,999. The 6GB RAM and 256GB variant is now priced at ₹24,999, whereas it was initially launched at ₹21,999. The 8GB RAM and 256GB variant will now be sold for ₹27,999 instead of ₹23,999.
The prices of all variants of Oppo K14x have been increased by ₹1,000. The 4GB RAM and 64GB variant will be sold for ₹16,999 instead of ₹15,999. The 4GB RAM and 128GB variant will now be sold for ₹18,999 (Launch price: ₹17,999), and the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant will be sold for ₹20,999 (Launch price: ₹19,999).
Apart from this, the price of Oppo A6s has also been increased. The 4GB RAM and 128GB variant of this phone will now be sold for ₹21,999 instead of ₹20,999. The 6GB RAM and 128GB variant will be sold for ₹24,999 instead of ₹22,999. The updated prices can now be seen on the Oppo India website.
Oppo has not given the reason for this change in price. This may be due to rising component costs and a global shortage of memory chips. According to a circular shared by Oppo with its retail partners, this price change will be effective from July 20.
Oppo K14, Oppo K14x and Oppo A6s have MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor for speed and multitasking. All these models have a 6.75-inch display and dual rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor.
