New Delhi, December 6 (IANS). Following the Centre’s instructions, IndiGo issued an update on Saturday saying the airline is trying its best to get operations back on track across its entire network. The company also said that the processes related to refund of all passengers are being completed on priority.
In an official statement, IndiGo said, “Our team remains focused on restoring scheduled flights, minimizing delays and assisting our customers in this current situation.
Regarding the canceled flights, the airline said that this number has come down to less than 850 today as compared to yesterday. The company assured that efforts are being made to further reduce the number of canceled flights in the coming days.
The airline said in a statement, “The number of flights canceled today has come down to less than 850, which is much less than yesterday. We are working towards reducing this number gradually over the next few days. We are giving priority to all customer refunds.”
The company said that IndiGo is working closely with all airports and partners to provide timely updates to passengers at the terminal, on the website and through direct notifications.
IndiGo has apologized for the inconvenience caused to its customers and said that its focus remains on normalizing the situation in all operations as soon as possible.
Earlier, the Civil Aviation Ministry had directed IndiGo to issue all pending passenger refunds without any delay. The Center said that it will be mandatory for all canceled and disrupted flights to complete the refund process by 8 pm on Sunday night. Apart from this, IndiGo has also been directed to trace the luggage of passengers of canceled and delayed flights and send it to the addresses of the passengers within 48 hours.
