New Delhi, October 11 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Cristiano R., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of US-based chip giant Qualcomm. Met Amon. In this meeting they discussed India’s progress in Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Skills.
PM Modi praised Qualcomm’s commitment towards India’s semiconductor and AI missions. He said India offers the unique talent and scale to build technologies that will shape our collective future.

He further added, “It is heartening to see Qualcomm’s commitment to India’s semiconductor and AI missions. The country offers unmatched talent and scale to build technologies that will shape our collective future.”
Earlier on his ex-post, Cristiano thanked PM Modi for the productive talks regarding the partnership between Qualcomm and India.
He said that along with IndiaAI and India Semiconductor Mission, there were excellent discussions for the transition to 6G.
“We are excited by the opportunities to develop an Indian ecosystem across AI smartphones, PCs, smart glasses, auto, industrial and other sectors,” he wrote on X.
Earlier, while giving information, Qualcomm India had said that the company is playing a leading role in shaping the digital future of India.
At the same time, it is emphasizing its commitment towards inclusive, sustainable and globally competitive technology solutions.
At India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, Qualcomm showcased a variety of innovations ranging from edge AI and 6G to smart home, connected devices and advanced compute platforms. It was also told how the company’s technologies will help accelerate India’s digital transformation.
Qualcomm has been a long-time partner in India’s technology journey. The company has supported the country from 3G to 5G, as well as actively preparing for 6G through early-stage research, strategic partnerships and local R&D investments.
