New Delhi, June 19 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the PM Vikas Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) is aimed at creating employment opportunities, empowering the youth of the country and creating a strong workforce for the future of India.
Addressing an event to distribute incentives under PM-VBRY, the Prime Minister said the initiative has helped create millions of jobs in recent years and has emerged as a symbol of the central government’s commitment to providing opportunities to young Indians.
Prime Minister Modi said, “PM-VBRY is the identity of a new India. It represents an India where job creation is at the heart of the spirit of the country. When youth, government and industry come together, the pace of job creation increases manifold.”
The Prime Minister said, “India is one of the youngest countries in the world and the journey towards a developed India will be decided by the dreams, skills and abilities of the country’s youth.”
He said that empowering the youth by providing them meaningful employment opportunities is one of the main priorities of the Central Government.
Prime Minister Modi said that the Central Government stands strongly with the youth who are entering the world of work for the first time.
“This scheme not only helps job seekers but also encourages industries to hire and invest in new talent,” he said.
He further said, “When a youth starts his first job, the government stands with him. This also increases the confidence of employers, because they know that the entire government system is supporting the process.”
The Prime Minister congratulated the youth who got job opportunities and also appreciated the institutions that recognized their potential and provided them jobs.
He said that these organizations have played an important role in creating lakhs of employment opportunities in recent months.
Emphasizing the importance of collaboration, PM Modi said experience and data have consistently shown that when government, industry and youth work together, job creation accelerates.
