New Delhi, May 10 (IANS). India will showcase its innovation and space technology on the global stage. On the initiative of the Ministry of Education, research of Indian IITs, universities and other institutions in France will be showcased at the global level. Here Indian startups will connect with global investors, space agencies and technology partners.
Bharat Innovatus 2026 is a global accelerator connecting over 100 deep-tech startups and leading institutions with international partners in 13 cutting-edge areas. According to the Union Education Ministry, India’s higher educational institutions are no longer limited to mere studies, rather these institutions are emerging as powerful centers of innovation, entrepreneurship and intensive technology research.
From research laboratories to research centers and entrepreneurship support centres, the country’s universities are providing direction to the rapidly growing entrepreneurship ecosystem. With the aim of taking this thinking to the global platform, Bharat Innovatus 2026 is being organized by the Ministry of Education. This initiative will become a major platform to connect entrepreneurs, researchers and young innovators associated with Indian higher education institutions with investors, industry, universities and innovation partners from across the world.
According to the Ministry of Education, this initiative takes forward the visionary thinking of the National Education Policy 2020. It places special emphasis on innovation-based education, multidisciplinary research and strong collaboration between industry and academic institutions. The government believes that India’s young innovators are now developing solutions not just for the needs of the country, but for the entire world.
The Education Ministry said that India’s leading space technology company Dhruv Space will also participate in “Bharat Innovates 2026”. The Hyderabad-based company is among the first private space technology companies in India and is providing complete space engineering solutions. The company is operating in areas such as satellite platforms, solar panels and launch services. It is providing services to both civil and defense sectors. The company has provided space quality solar panels to the Government of India.
Talking about foreign countries, the company has also exported to countries like United Arab Emirates, Austria, Australia and France. This has proved the global capability and credibility of ‘Made in India’ space technology. In a statement, the Education Ministry said that Dhruva Space has so far raised capital of more than $21 million through various investment rounds and is expanding rapidly.
The company is working on developing a synthetic aperture radar based satellite constellation by the end of 2026. The system will provide high quality earth observation and imagery facility round the clock in all weather conditions, which will be used for strategic and defense purposes.
The Education Ministry said that through Bharat Innovate 2026, India will showcase its innovation and space technology potential on the global platform. This event will be held in Nice city of France from 14 to 16 June 2026. Here Indian startups will connect with global investors, space agencies and technology partners. The government says India’s space revolution is now moving towards new heights and the world will soon see the impact of cutting-edge technologies developed by Indian youth.
