New Delhi. The world’s well -known tech company Apple has decided to appoint Indian -origin Sabih Khan as its next Chief Operating Officer (COO). Jeff Williams, who has been holding the responsibility of Apple COO post since 2015, is retiring at the end of 2025 this year, after which Sabih Khan will replace him. Sabih Khan has a special connection to UP, in fact he was born in Moradabad. Sabih Khan has studied up to class 5 from St. Mary’s School in Moradabad. However, his family later shifted to Singapore and from there, Sabih Khan moved to America.
Sabih Khan has been associated with Apple Company for the last 30 years. At present, he is holding the responsibility of the post of Senior Vice President (Operations). Sabih Khan has done double graduation in economics and mechanical engineering from Tufts University. After this, he also did a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the Rensaler Polytechnic Institute in New York. In 1995, Sabi Khan started his work as an application development engineer and major account technical leader at GE Plastic. After this, he joined Apple and after some time he started taking responsibility for product quality and supply chain in the company.
Sabih Khan has played an important role in bringing the company’s most innovative products to the market and giving direction to the company’s global operating strategy while working with Apple over the years. Apple CEO Tim Cook has also praised Sabih Khan. Cook said that Sabih Khan is a talented strategist. He has contributed to reduce the company’s carbon footprint more than 60 per cent. Also, Cook has described Sabih as one of the main planners of the company’s supply chain.
