New Delhi, July 23 (IANS). Samsung on Thursday announced the launch of pre-orders for its new foldable smartphone series Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8 in India. In this new series, the company has laid special emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI), productivity and thinner design than before.
Based on Samsung’s seven-generation foldable technology, the new Galaxy Z series is equipped with Galaxy AI and Gemini Intelligence. Through this, users will be able to easily work between multiple apps in fewer steps. Besides, better privacy and security controls have also been provided in it.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is the premium model of this series, whose price of 12 GB + 256 GB variant has been kept at Rs 1,99,999, the price of 12 GB + 512 GB variant has been kept at Rs 2,19,999 and the price of 16 GB + 1 TB variant has been kept at Rs 2,59,999. The smartphone will be available in Graphite, Cream and Violet Shadow colors, while the Green Shadow color will be available only for online buyers.
The starting price of Galaxy Z Fold8 is Rs 1,79,999. The price of its 12 GB + 512 GB variant has been fixed at Rs 1,99,999 and the price of 16 GB + 1 TB variant has been fixed at Rs 2,39,999. It will be available in graphite, cream and lavender colours, while the pistachio color will be available online only.
The company has priced the 12GB + 256GB variant of Galaxy Z Flip8 at Rs 1,24,999 and the 12GB + 512GB variant at Rs 1,44,999. This smartphone will be available in graphite, cream and pink colors, while mint color will be available for online sale only.
JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, said that the tremendous response to foldable smartphones over the past seven years proves Samsung’s strong leadership in the category. He said customers are loving Samsung’s foldable smartphones for their distinct design and personalized Galaxy AI experience, which improves both productivity and creativity.
According to the company, the Galaxy Z Fold8 has been designed to deliver a more immersive viewing experience with lighter weight. Weighing 201 grams, it is the lightest Galaxy Z Fold smartphone till date, which has a 4,800 mAh battery.
The smartphone has been given a flex titanium display structure to reduce the visibility of creases. Apart from this, it also includes features like peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, dual 50 megapixel camera system, dual recording and My FanCam.
