New Delhi, February 28 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on National Science Day on Saturday that when knowledge is connected with science, the path to freedom from crises automatically opens.
PM Modi, while posting a video on social media platform He said that science is the basis of solutions, development and innovation.
PM said that today National Science Day is dedicated to CV Raman’s discovery of ‘Raman Effect’. The discovery of Raman Effect changed the direction of entire science.
PM Modi further wrote in the post that on National Science Day, we celebrate the spirit of research, innovation and scientific curiosity that takes our country forward. This day is celebrated to commemorate the important discovery of Raman Effect by Sir CV Raman. This discovery gave Indian research a strong place in the world. We reiterate our intention to empower our youth, strengthen the research ecosystem and use science and technology for the development of the country and the betterment of the world.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla wrote in X Post, “Heartiest greetings to all the countrymen on National Science Day. The historic discovery of the Raman Effect on 28 February 1928 took India to new heights of scientific glory. This achievement of Dr. C.V. Raman became the global identity of Indian talent, research and innovation.”
