New Delhi, February 24 (IANS). Prof. at Himachal Pradesh Central University. Inder Singh Thakur on Tuesday said that it was a wrong decision to protest at the India AI Impact Summit 2026.

Speaking to news agency IANS, Thakur said that protesting is a right in a democracy, but it has a place and place. It was completely wrong for some youth to go shirtless and protest at a summit where CEOs, politicians and many big people from the country and the world had come.

He said that Jantar Mantar has been created to protest. You could go there.

At the same time, Vice Chancellor of Nainital-based Kumaon University, Prof. Diwan Singh Rawat told IANS that this was a big AI summit of the world, in which representatives of more than 100 countries and stalwarts of the technology sector participated. He said that India’s AI contribution has been acknowledged globally and this summit was an important and successful initiative of the Government of India.

Pro. Giving an example, Rawat said that in an area like drug discovery, where earlier it took 15 to 18 years, with the help of AI, this process can be completed in 5 to 6 years. He said that the impact of AI will be seen in every field and it will promote creativity and innovation. He also mentioned India’s progress in areas such as digital infrastructure, highway construction and digital transactions and said the promotion of startup culture by the government will give a new impetus to AI development.

Along with this, Binay Kumar Singh, Director of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Research Foundation, strongly criticized the demonstration by Youth Congress workers during the summit. He said that this was a platform for the progress of the country; This should not have been allowed to become a political platform. He said that such demonstrations affect the country’s image at the international level.

He also said that Rahul Gandhi should have strongly condemned this and taken a clear stand on this matter. He should have taken note of such incidents within his party, especially such indecent and inappropriate demonstrations, and not supported it.
