Election Result 2022: There have been major upheavals in the assembly elections of 5 states including UP. On one hand, the Badal family was seen flying in the storm of Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, while CM Charanjit Singh Channi also lost from both the seats. Overall, two sitting and five former chief ministers have lost their seats in this election. Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and his Uttarakhand counterpart Pushkar Singh Dhami have also lost from their respective seats. Charanjit Singh lost to Channi by 37,000 votes from Bhadaur itself. He was defeated by Labh Singh Ugok, who runs a mobile repairing shop.
Apart from this, Charanjit Singh Channi lost from his bastion Chamkaur Sahib to the Aam Aadmi Party candidate of his own name. You Candidate Charanjit Singh is an eye doctor by profession. Same is the case with former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Singh Rawat and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Amarinder Singh and they have also lost from their respective seats. Dhami may have lost the electoral battle, but his party has emerged victorious in Uttarakhand. In Punjab, three former chief ministers Badal, Amarinder Singh and Rajinder Kaul Bhattal have lost from their respective seats.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi lost the elections from both Bhadaur and Chamkaur Sahib seats. Shiromani Akali Dal chief and former deputy chief minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal has lost the election to rival Aam Aadmi Party. Most of the current and former ministers in the Punjab government have lost in the elections to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidates. In Goa, former Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress candidate Churchill Alemao lost to AAP candidate from Benaulim seat. Counting of votes for the assembly elections held in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa and Manipur continued on Thursday amid tight security.
