Exit polls also came out on Monday evening as soon as the polling for the seventh and final phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections-2022 was completed. In this, while BJP’s full majority government seems to be formed, the credibility of many veterans is at stake. The exit polls have also increased the tension of Swami Prasad Maurya, who claimed to have won the SP. The Times Now-Veto exit poll shows Swami Prasad losing the election.
In the survey, Swami Prasad Maurya is getting 31% to 35% votes while his rival Surendra Kumar Kushwaha is getting 38% to 41% votes. If these exit poll results prove to be true, then it will be considered as a big setback for Swami Prasad Maurya as well as Akhilesh Yadav. Swami Prasad Maurya’s claim was to bring the backward class votes towards the Samajwadi Party in this election and once again to crown Akhilesh Yadav on the Chief Minister’s chair. In such a situation, if he himself loses his election, then it will be called a big setback for the SP.

Police has also registered a case against Swami’s daughter Sanghamitra Maurya (BJP MP from Badaun) in this case. On the other hand, Swami Prasad’s son Ashok Maurya was also detained for distributing money in the area with the intention of influencing voters. Ashok was instructed not to enter the district till the polling was held outside the district limits. Later, the administration had also registered a case of violation of the code of conduct against him.
