Punjab Election Result News: Even after the crushing defeat in Punjab, the Congress is engaged in the politics of accusation and counter-accusation. Randeep Surjewala’s statement has come to the fore after the Aam Aadmi Party won 93 seats in Punjab and the Congress was reduced to 17 seats. He did not blame the leadership of the Congress or any other leader for this defeat, but instead blamed the defeat on Captain Amarinder Singh. He said that Captain Amarinder Singh was the Chief Minister of Punjab for four and a half years and the public was angry with him. Surjewala said that there was anti-incumbency due to Captain’s rule and we could not explain it to the public.
Randeep Surjewala said that we fought with full force in Goa and Uttarakhand, but could not convince the public. We have made a constant effort to bring the election on the issues of the people apart from religious issues. From education, health to everything else, we have given full focus. But emotional issues have taken over the masses. We may win or lose the election, but we will continue to work for the issues of the people. We will introspect and reflect on the reasons for the defeat. Will work for the organization and try for betterment in future. He said that Congress President Sonia Gandhi has decided that a meeting of the Central Working Committee will be convened, in which the defeat will be reviewed.
We may have lost the election, but we have not lost our courage. We heartily congratulate all the winners. On one hand, Randeep Surjewala blamed Amarinder Singh for the defeat, while on the other hand he also indicated to take a lesson by saying that Sonia Gandhi has decided to call a meeting of the working committee. It is also clear from this fact that after the defeat, once again the era of ruckus can start in the Congress. Not only this, big changes can also be seen in Punjab. The reason for this is that Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu and CM Charanjit Singh Channi have also lost the elections.
