Badminton tournament: Yonex Sunrise Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Memorial All India Senior Racking Badminton Tournament has been given the top preference in the women’s singles to the star shuttler Mansi Singh of Uttar Pradesh. Mansi will start her campaign against Maharashtra’s qualifier Madhumita Narayan on 16 September. The UP Badminton Academy will start at 10 am compared to the main draw of this tournament organized by the Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association under the aegis of the Badminton Association of India (BAI).
List of major preferred players
The main draw for this has been determined on Monday evening. Which includes 64–64 in male and female singles, while mixed doubles, male doubles and 32–32 players in women’s doubles. In the men’s singles, Delhi’s Jinpel S is the top seed. At the same time, Naveen P. and Lokesh V. of Tamil Nadu in the men’s doubles, Shikha Gautam and Ashwini Bhatt of Karnataka in the women’s doubles, and Karnataka’s Purush Surya and Amrita P. have got top preferences.
Expectations from UP players
The performance of UP players in the tournament is expected to be quite excellent. Under the leadership of Mansi Singh and Amolika Singh, UP team is in a strong position in women’s singles. Apart from this, the tenth seeded pair of Divyam Arora and Arsh Mohammed is ready to present the challenge. In the main draw, in addition to Mansi and Amolika in the women’s singles, Tanisha Singh and Aaradhya Kushwaha got a wild card entry. In men’s singles, Vildan Yadav and Rajan Yadav have also been given wild card entry.

Among other senior players of Uttar Pradesh, Amolika Singh has got 13th preference in women’s singles.
