Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) has shared a big information on Sunday. By March 8, 2026, the Army has destroyed a total of 95 ballistic missiles and 164 drones coming towards the country using its air defense system. The Army said that these continuous attacks are being foiled, but there has been damage at some places due to falling debris. During this period, three people were also injured and have been sent for treatment.

Where was the damage caused by the attacks?

According to the report, a university building in Muharraq area has been damaged by falling debris and drone fragments. Apart from this, a water desalination plant has also been attacked by drone, due to which some material damage has been caused there. This is said to be the first attack of its kind on a water plant in the Gulf countries. Kuwait and UAE have also tightened their security and shot down several missiles.

Government’s strict instructions for common people

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry and security agencies have issued strict rules for citizens and expatriates living there. The administration has appealed to the people to keep these things in mind for their safety:

Do not step out of your homes unless absolutely necessary. Taking video or photographs of military operations, debris or any blast site is strictly prohibited. Do not touch any suspicious pieces or debris lying on the road. In case of any emergency or suspicious object, call 112 immediately.

Concerns about water supply and migrants

The Electricity and Water Authority has clarified that despite the attack on the desalination plant, there has been no impact on the drinking water supply or network. The water system is running normally. However, considering the current situation, Indians and other expatriates working in the Gulf are a little worried. According to some reports, rich people are spending huge amounts of money to get out of there, but common workers have been asked to trust only government channels and official news so that rumors can be avoided.
