US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said President Donald Trump has brokered several peace agreements, including “difficult” India-Pakistan peace agreements, and he deserves “special credit” for reshaping the country’s foreign policy.
At a Cabinet meeting held at the White House on Tuesday, Rubio said that for the first time in decades, foreign policy has been focused on making America “safer, stronger and more prosperous.”
Rubio said, “I will not mention all the other peace agreements, but it is important to mention the very difficult agreements like India and Pakistan or Cambodia and Thailand. I believe that the President should get special credit for reshaping our foreign policy.”
Earlier, during the cabinet meeting, Trump reiterated that he has resolved various global issues including the India and Pakistan dispute.
Trump said he has stopped “eight wars” and should receive a Nobel Peace Prize for each one. Referring to the Russia-Ukraine issue, he said, “We have stopped eight wars… now we are going to stop another one. This is my thinking, this is my hope.”
