Global Sumud Flotila (GSF) has claimed that a main boat going for Gaza was attacked in Tunisian Water Area, for which activists blamed Israel. Six passengers and crews on the boat are safe, but the deck and storage portion of the flag of Portugal flags caught fire.
Flotila also shared the video of the attack. At the same time, Special Representative on Palestine of the United Nations, Franceska Albanies said that if the drone proved to be an attack on Tunisia’s sovereignty. However, Tunisia’s National Guard dismissed the reports of the drone attack, saying the initial results of the investigation show that the explosion occurred from inside the boat and no evidence of any drone was found.
Flotila is an international initiative, trying to take humanitarian aid to Gaza with the support of representatives of 44 countries. After the incident, people were seen shouting slogans “Free Palestine” waving Palestinian flags at Sidi Bau Said Port in Tunisia. Flotila said that efforts to threaten and stop would not be able to stop our peace campaign.
