US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described India as ‘one of the top relations of America in the world’. He said this during the hearing of the Senate for Sergio Gore, nominated by US President Donald Trump for the US Ambassador to India.
Rubio, who appeared before the Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee to introduce Gore, outlined India’s important role in shaping the global future, especially in the Indo-Pacific region, and highlighted that India is “in its origin”.
Rubio said, “Sergio Gore is designated in India (as an American ambassador), which the world will look like in the future, in this context, America is one of the best relations with the world today. When I was in this position as a nominated person, I said earlier. In the 21st century, the story will be written in the Hind-Pacific region. Is in. “
He referred to the ongoing “extraordinary change” in Indo-US relations and pointed to important issues such as Ukraine conflicts and regional security challenges, which require close cooperation.
The Foreign Minister said, “We are going through an extraordinary change in relations with India; we are facing some very important issues that we need to work together. It means Ukraine and the events happening in the region.”
Praising the merit of Gore, Rubio mentioned his long -term introduction with a 38 -year -old candidate and his unique access to the President, and emphasized that these qualities would be helpful in “pursue work” between the two countries.
He said, “When you interact with these countries, it is very important to have a representative in a country like India who has a direct access to the oval office and the President and about which they know that he can work in administration and through the oval office. Gore, who is currently the director of the President Personnel at the White House, was nominated by Trump to fill the space left by former ambassador Eric Garcéeti in January.
