Iran’s IRNA news agency informed on March 28, 2026 that Iran has launched missile and drone attacks on US and Israeli targets. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called these attacks a ‘right response and duty’ to the US-Israeli attacks. Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) also reported the missile launch through its official news website, Sepah News.
Operation True Promise 4: Targeting America and Israel
On March 26, 2026, Iran’s armed forces and allied resistance groups continued to retaliate against the US and Israel. Iran’s English-language Press TV told about this. On the same day, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army carried out several attacks under ‘Operation True Promise 4’.
In these operations, there were 84 missile and drone attacks, in which new weapons were used. In these attacks, Israeli military facilities and American bases in West Asia were targeted. Israel’s Nevatim and Ramat David air bases, major economic centers such as Tel Aviv and Haifa, and targets near the Dimona nuclear facility were also targeted. In the 82nd wave of ‘Operation True Promise 4’, Iran specifically targeted the Zionist regime’s military command control centers and facilities related to its nuclear industry.
Attacks on Gulf countries and regional allies also
As of March 28, 2026, Iran also continued missile and drone attacks on America’s regional allies, such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). These attacks were carried out to put economic and political pressure on countries that are considered to support America’s operations. Iran has attacked all six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
In Iraq, militia groups linked to Tehran were carrying out drone attacks on US airports, facilities and other US targets. Lebanese Hezbollah and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq also took part in this operation and damaged enemy positions. Iraqi resistance groups are conducting daily operations mainly against US military targets. Between March 20 and March 27, 2026, Iranian missile and drone attacks were less frequent than before, but still remained a constant threat to the Gulf countries’ infrastructure.
