A big news has come to light amid increasing tension between Israel and Iran. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has claimed that a missile fired by Iran targeted a kindergarten i.e. children’s school located in the city of Rishon Lezion. The incident occurred on the morning of Saturday 21 March 2026 when children were not present in the school. Officials say that had it not been for the Saturday holiday, it could have been a major tragedy.

Brigadier General Elad Edri, after visiting the scene, said that the attack was carried out to intimidate the civilian population. Cluster bombs were used in this missile which tore off the roof of the school. It was fortunate that there were no children there at the time of the attack. In the video released on social media, debris and broken chairs can be clearly seen inside the school. The mayor of the city has promised that the school will be repaired as soon as possible.

According to the medical report, two people have been slightly injured in this attack. In Rishon Lezion, a 70-year-old man and a 40-year-old man were treated for blast injuries. After this attack, Israel’s Defense Minister has given a statement that military action against Iran will be increased in the coming days.
