Kuwait’s Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has left for Germany today. He is leading Kuwait’s delegation at the 62nd Munich Security Conference to be held in Munich. The Deputy Prime Minister and other ministers bid him farewell at Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday, 11 February. This visit is considered very important in terms of global security and mutual cooperation.
What will be special in the conference?
This security conference will run from 13 to 15 February 2026 in Munich. Heads of state and government of more than 50 countries around the world are participating in it. The main objective of the program is to promote direct interaction between the leaders. According to the rules of the conference, instead of giving any speech, emphasis is given on question-answer and discussion with each other. The Prime Minister of Kuwait will speak here on regional peace and security.
Cabinet decisions before the trip
Before leaving for Germany, the Prime Minister chaired an important cabinet meeting. In this meeting, the draft of the State Budget for the year 2026/2027 was approved, so that the administrative work continues smoothly in his absence. Kuwait’s Ambassador to Germany Reem Mohammed Al-Khaled will welcome the delegation there. Tight security arrangements have been made in Munich and special screening procedures are in place at the airports.
