Oman’s Foreign Minister has clearly stated in a special meeting of the Arab League that the Gulf region is now at a dangerous juncture. According to the statement issued on March 8, 2026, the situation is worsening due to the ongoing military tension in the area. Its direct impact is now visible on air travel and oil prices, which has increased the concern of the expatriates and common people living there.
Oman Government warnings and safety regulations
Foreign Minister of Oman Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi Said that instead of talks, force is now being used which is a threat to the security of the area. He described the situation as a ‘dangerous intersection’. Meanwhile, Oman’s Public Prosecution has issued a strict warning.
The administration has clearly said that sharing any kind of rumor, unverified photo or video related to military incidents will be considered a crime. The Defense Ministry has also completely banned videography or photography of military bases and security sites. Indians living there are advised not to share any such content on social media.
Flights canceled and oil became expensive
This stress has also affected normal life and travel. Keeping security in mind, Oman Air has canceled many important flights between March 9 and March 15. This will affect the passengers who were going to travel on these routes.
