Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares held an important meeting on March 12, 2026. In this meeting, the continuously increasing military tension in the Middle East was discussed in detail. Both countries stressed the urgent need to stop the regional war and return to diplomatic paths. Spain’s tough action and Saudi Arabia’s support
Taking a major decision amid this tension, Spain has permanently recalled its ambassador from Israel. Now the embassy there is being run only by the Charge d’Affaires. Along with this, Spain summoned the Iranian Ambassador in Madrid and strongly condemned the attacks on Saudi Arabia and other regional countries.
Spain has made it clear that it will not accept any threat against the security and sovereignty of Saudi Arabia. On the other hand, the Saudi Foreign Ministry is working with Spain and other EU members as a united Arab voice to protect regional interests and vital facilities.
