Despite tensions with the US, India is confident of achieving its goals. The government has a complete roadmap for this. No power in the world can stop India from becoming a developed nation by 2047. Union Minister Piyush Goyal made this clear at the sixth edition of the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) in Mumbai. He said that India will become a developed nation by 2047. No power in the world can stop it. The government is taking several steps to strengthen the economy, build infrastructure and increase international trade. India has now become not only a participant but also a major leader in the fintech world.
This comment of Piyush Goyal has come at a time when India’s relations with America are tense. US President Donald Trump has imposed a hefty 50% tariff on India, making it difficult for Indian goods to compete in the US. To reduce this impact, India has made trade agreements with many other countries. Additionally, GST reforms have curbed the impact of tariffs on the economy. Recently, institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank as well as global rating agencies have expressed confidence in India’s economy. Most of these have upgraded India’s economic outlook from “stable” to “positive”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of making India developed by 2047.
This is how this goal will be achieved
Piyush Goyal expressed confidence that India will be a developed and prosperous country by the 100th anniversary of independence. He emphasized that this goal will be achieved only when India embraces technology, remains connected to the digital world and expands its trade partnerships. India should be considered a reliable partner of the world.
