Bengaluru/New Delhi, October 9 (). Taking a step forward towards addressing women’s issues at the grassroots level, the National Commission for Women (NCW) is organizing ‘National Commission for Women – Your Doorstep’ – Women’s Public Hearing in Bengaluru. The objective of this public hearing is to resolve the pending cases related to women and ensure speedy redressal of their complaints.
According to the official statement issued by the Commission, National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar will also participate in this hearing to be held on October 13 at 12 noon. Senior officials including District Magistrates, Superintendents of Police and other key officials will also participate in it to ensure effective and timely resolution of cases related to women.
Vijaya Rahatkar will be on a three-day visit to Bengaluru from 12 to 14 October 2025. During her visit, she will hold review meetings with senior administrative and police officials and will also meet the Chief Secretary and other senior officials of the state government.
To promote digital empowerment among women, National Commission for Women is running ‘Yashoda AI’ programme, under which women across India are being trained in Artificial Intelligence. Under this initiative, a training session will be organized for women in Bengaluru.
The Commission will also organize a ‘Campus Calling’ program in Bengaluru to raise awareness among the youth about women’s rights and gender sensitivity.
The National Commission for Women urges women from Bengaluru and surrounding areas to attend the public hearing and present their grievances directly before the Commission.
