New Delhi. The electric version of the best -selling scooter Honda Activa in the country was finally launched in India. Its features and details were already in discussion, but now this scooter has formally landed in the market. Its booking will begin from 1 January 2025, while delivery will start from 1 February 2025.
Electric Activa will be available in two variants
Honda Activa EV will be available in two variants –
Standard variant Roadsink duo variant
The standard variant weighs 118 kg, while Roadsink Duo weighs 119 kg. Roadsink Duo will get a 7-inch large dashboard, which will provide facilities like turn-by-turn navigation and notification alert. At the same time, the standard variant has a 5 -inch TFT screen, which will have limited Bluetooth connectivity.
Range and battery swaping facility
This scooter will get a 1.5 kwh dual swapable battery, which will provide a range of 102 km in single charge. Honda has also prepared its power pack exchanger station for battery swapping. At present, there are 83 stations in Bengaluru, and by 2026 this number will be increased to 250. This facility will also start soon in Delhi and Mumbai.
Special features and design
The design of the scooter is based on the petrol Honda Activa. Ground clearance of 171 mm and 12-inch wheels are provided. There will be an option of forward disc brake and back drum brakes. Modern features such as USB charging port and front boot space are provided.
Performance and Driving Modes
Honda Activa EV will get 6KW power and 22Nm torque. It will catch a speed of 0-60 kmph in just 7.3 seconds, and its maximum speed will be 80 km per hour. Three modes – standard, sport and ecoon will be available for driving. A reverse mode has also been added for parking.
H-Smart key feature
The H-Smart Key feature will be available with Roadsink duo variant, including technology like smart found, smart safe, smart unlock and smart start.
Price and color option
The Honda Activa EV will be available in 5 colors, including blue, white, gray and black. The price is not yet disclosed, but it will be placed in the price range of TVS Iqube and Ather Rizta.
Honda QC1: Glimpses of Short-Distance Scooter
The company has presented a glimpse of another electric scooter called Honda QC1. It will come with a fixed battery and would be suitable for small trips such as leaving school or going to the metro station. It will have features like large boot space and USB Type-C port.
