Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday appealed to the people to help those who are unable to light lamps or buy sweets on Diwali. The officers provided this information.
Visiting a colony of the Nishad community in Ayodhya’s Abhiramdas ward, Adityanath said: “When Lord Ram (along with Mother Sita and Lord Lakshman) was going for exile, Nishadraj was the first person who helped Lord Ram. He was the first person with whom Lord Ram befriended. This friendship continues from Tretayuga till today.”
