Chandigarh. The government of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken another big decision for the farmers. The government is giving great relief to the farmers by continuously purchasing the paddy (rice) crop. The Chief Minister has clearly said that every grain of the farmers’ crops will be picked.

This time there has been no hindrance in the procurement of paddy. Farmers’ crops are being purchased rapidly at government procurement centres. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given strict instructions to the officials that the procurement work should continue without any stop. Adequate procurement agencies have been deployed for this. Thousands of procurement centers have been opened across Punjab. Adequate staff and facilities have been provided at these centres. The government has ensured that there is no shortage at any procurement centre.
The government has made special arrangements to monitor procurement centres. Officials have been ordered to inspect the procurement centers daily. If any farmer faces any problem, it should be resolved immediately. Control rooms have been set up at the district level where farmers can register their complaints.
The government has also ensured that farmers do not face any kind of problem at the procurement centres. Proper arrangements for water, shade and seating have been made
The biggest thing is that farmers are getting full payment on time. After selling the paddy, the money is coming directly into the bank accounts of the farmers within 48 hours. Earlier farmers had to wait for months. This system has proved to be a great relief for the farmers.
The government has strengthened the digital payment system. This has freed farmers from the hassle of cash transactions. Transparency is also maintained as the money comes directly into the bank account.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has promised that not even a single grain of the farmers’ crop will be left behind. The government will buy the entire crop of every farmer. Whether the farmer has one bag or hundreds of bags, all will be purchased. Due to this, there is a wave of happiness among the farmers and they are doing farming without any worries.
The Mann government has paid special attention to small and marginal farmers. Earlier, these farmers often faced problems due to their low crops. Now they are also getting equal respect and facilities.
This time the procurement system is so smooth that there is not much crowd in the markets. Farmers are selling their crops comfortably when their turn comes. Earlier farmers had to stand in queues for days. Many times he had to wait for nights with his tractor-trolley. Now this problem is over.
Token system has been implemented at procurement centres. Farmers come after seeing their time and soon sell their crops and leave.
The government has created an online portal where farmers can check their turn. This is saving both time and effort of the farmers. Everything is being done in a transparent manner. Farmers can know the status of their purchases sitting at home on their mobile phones.
On the portal, farmers can register themselves, see their turn and also get payment information. This technological initiative has proved to be extremely beneficial for the farmers.
Farmer brothers are saying that this time they did not face any problem. The crop was sold on time and the money was also received. Respected government has kept its promises. Harpal Singh, a farmer from Ludhiana, says, “This is the first time that we did not face any problem. Everything happened very well.”
Balwinder Singh, a farmer from Sangrur district, says, “My crop was sold within two days and the money also came in three days. This is a big thing.” Farmers say that such a facility was never available before.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, “The farmers of Punjab are our food givers. They should get the full price of their hard work. We will pay the farmers the price of every grain and no farmer will be troubled. This is our commitment.”
He further said, “The government of Punjab stands with the farmers. We will continue to take such steps which will benefit the farmers. The prosperity of the farmers is the prosperity of Punjab.”
This step of Mann government is being seen as a big relief for the farmers. Experts believe that if this system continues then the future of the farmers of Punjab will be bright.
