Jaipur. To establish effective communication with the migrant Rajasthani community of Kolkata, a high level delegation under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will visit Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal on October 28. During this time, ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Meet’ will be organized under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister and migrant Rajasthanis will also be invited for the first ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Day’ to be organized in Jaipur on 10 December 2025.
The delegation led by Chief Minister Sharma will invite non-resident Rajasthanis, industrial groups, businessmen and entrepreneurs to actively contribute to the development of the state. During this, one-to-one meetings will also be held with heads of business and industrial groups working in various business sectors like textile and hosiery, chemical and minerals. It is noteworthy that the Pravasi Rajasthani Meet is being organized with the objective of encouraging investment in the state, strengthening partnerships, deepening the ties between Rajasthan and its global diaspora community and ensuring their continued participation in the development journey of the state. This is the third program in the series of preparations for Pravasi Rajasthani Day to be organized on 10th December which is being organized in Kolkata. Earlier, during the Overseas Rajasthani Meets organized in Hyderabad and Surat, the Chief Minister had inspired the Overseas Rajasthanis to explore the possibilities of new opportunities in the state. In these programs, he appreciated the contribution of the migrant Rajasthani community and also expressed his commitment to provide them full support for the inclusive and sustainable development of the state.
The delegation of Pravasi Rajasthani Meet will also include Urban Development and Autonomous Government Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra, Additional Chief Secretary of Rural Development Department Shreya Guha, Principal Secretary of Industries and Commerce Department Alok Gupta, Commissioner of Rajasthan Foundation Dr. Manisha Arora, Commissioner of Bureau of Investment Promotion Suresh Kumar Ola and other senior officials of the state government. The meet is being organized in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), which is the event industry partner of ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Divas 2025’.
About ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas 2025’
‘Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas’, being organized in Jaipur on 10th December, is a major initiative of the state government, which aims to strengthen the connect with the global diaspora Rajasthani community. Industries Department and Rajasthan Foundation have been made nodal to establish contact with the migrant community. The event brings together diaspora Rajasthanis on a common platform, where new dimensions of cooperation in various fields are explored between the diaspora community and the state government and cultural ties are further strengthened.
