Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that if anyone does not feel proud to see the grand temple on Shri Ram’s birthplace in Ayodhya, then it is doubtful to be an Indian.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the weekly tribute ceremony organized on the occasion of the 56th death anniversary of Mahant Digvijaynath and the 11th death anniversary of Mahant Avaidyanath in the temple complex.
Adityanath said, “Who will be in India today who does not feel proud to see a grand temple on Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya? If no one feels like this, then it is doubtful to be an Indian.”
He said that Mahant Digvijaynath had resolved to remove the symbols of slavery and had dreamed of removing the disputed structure in Ayodhya and building a grand Ram temple.
He said, “Today the dream of both Mahant Digvijaynath and Mahant Avaidyanath has been fulfilled.”
Citing a line in Sanskrit, Adityanath said that every person has capacity and simply needs correct guidance.
He praised both the late Mahants and said that he guided the society and nation through his commitment and sacrifice and dedicated his life to the country and religion.
Adityanath also said that a saint considers society to be his family and nation as his total, its only identity is Sanatan Dharma.
He said, “When a true saint takes a resolution, its results come out. The Ram temple is a proof of the determination and struggle of the Mahants.”
