Dausa. To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, National Unity Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the district headquarters on Friday, imbued with the spirit of national unity. On this occasion, ‘Run for Unity’ and Padyatra were organized in which a large number of citizens including public representatives, officers-employees, students, police and NCC cadets participated. The program organized as per the instructions of the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, was inaugurated by Collector Devendra Kumar, SP Sagar Rana, BJP District President Lakshmi Rela and other officials by garlanding the portrait of Sardar Patel and offering flowers. He took the oath of dedication to the unity, integrity and security of the nation. After this the collective national anthem was performed. The players played tunes like ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara…’ etc. The yatra reached Gandhi Tiraha via Somnath intersection. During this time, rangoli giving the message of national unity was made and a street play was staged. Addressing the program on this occasion, Collector Devendra Kumar said that Sardar Patel played an important role in laying the foundation of the integrity of India by uniting the then princely states into one thread. Today gives us the privilege of taking inspiration from his vision, determination and patriotism.
On this occasion, ASP Hemant Kalal, ADM Arvind Sharma, Lalsot ADM Manmohan Meena, District Council Chief Executive Officer Birdi Chand Gangwal, UIT Secretary Moolchand Lunia, Municipal Council Commissioner Kamlesh Meena, SDM Sanju Meena, DSP Ravi Sharma, Special Central Jail Superintendent Dr. Paras Jangid, ‘My Bharat’ District Youth Officer Poonam Kumari, District Sports Officer Manoj Sharma and various others were present. Officials of the departments were present.
