Ayodhya, Amrit Vichar: On the auspicious occasion of Devotthan Ekadashi in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, about 30 lakh devotees took the Panchkosi Parikrama and earned virtuous benefits by completing the steps of faith. The sages and saints started the parikrama after taking Saryu bath at 4:04 am in Brahma Muhurta on Saturday morning, which became a unique confluence of devotion and enthusiasm on the approximately 15 kilometer long path. The entire parikrama path resonated with the chants of Ramdhun and Jai Shri Ram, while women and youth danced to traditional bhajans.
The enthusiasm of the devotees reached its peak as soon as they took bath on the banks of Saryu Maiya. Bare feet and clad in saffron robes, sadhus and common devotees stepped forward together. On the route, filled with devotion, the male and female participants kept moving ahead dancing and singing on hymns like ‘Chadh Gaya Bhagwa Rang’ and ‘Ram Aayenge’. Due to which the atmosphere became devotional. Groups of women danced with drums. Devotees from the districts around Ayodhya and other states including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar became part of this flood of faith. The parikrama ended at 2:57 am on Sunday morning.
Someone carried the child on their shoulders and someone supported the elderly parents and made them circumambulate.

Some people carried out the parikrama by carrying their child on their shoulders while others supported their elderly parents and carried out the parikrama. At the same time, some people actually bowed down and circumambulated the holy land. The number of people of the city also numbered in lakhs in this fair. People were seen circling with their families. At the same time, the students of Gurukul and young sadhus of Hanumangarhi ran without stopping and completed the parikrama in just one hour. There was a lot of excitement at the shops in the fair, a lot of tea along with samosas and jalebi were sold. The fasting participants consumed Ramdana and fruits. Seeing the possibility of rain, shops of foil were also set up in abundance but due to the sun coming out, they had to be disappointed.
Parikramaarthi said, while doing Hari Kirtan, I did not realize when the parikrama was completed.
-Panchkosi Parikrama covers the holiest part of Ayodhya Dham, which includes more than six thousand temples including Ram Temple, Kanak Bhawan, Hanuman Garhi, Dashrath Mahal. There is a religious belief that by this circumambulation the sins of many births are destroyed and salvation is attained. Parikrama participant Ashwani Gupta told that there was a very beautiful atmosphere during the parikrama, while chanting the name of Hari, I did not realize when the parikrama ended. Told that the administration had made better arrangements. Vandana Srivastava told that this parikrama is considered to be the circumambulation of the birth place of Lord Shri Ramlala who is seated in Ayodhya. And this parikrama has been completed in a very religious atmosphere.
Public representatives and leaders did not lag behind in earning virtue
Public representatives and leaders also did not lag behind in earning virtuous benefits in Panchkosi Parikrama. City MLA Ved Prakash Gupta did parikrama along with BJP metropolitan president Kamlesh Srivastava, Amal Gupta and others. Gosaiganj MLA Abhay Singh earned virtue along with his wife Dr. Sarita Singh and supporters. Vice Chancellor of Awadh University, Dr. Bijendra Singh also completed the parikrama. Mahant of Badi Devkal Temple and BSP leader Sunil Pathak, SP leader Dan Bahadur Singh performed Parikrama with their families.
More than three lakh devotees visited Ram temple and worshiped
Devotees who reached Ayodhya to participate in the Kartik Parikrama Fair performed Panchkosi Parikrama and visited the temples. There was a long queue of devotees in Ram temple since morning. Seeing the crowd, darshan started at Hanuman Garhi temple from 5 in the morning. According to the information received till evening, more than three lakh devotees visited the Ram temple on Saturday. This number was said to be more than double in Hanumangarhi temple.
