China is running fast in the case of AI and robotics. Recently, Humanoid Robot Games were also held in the capital Beijing. It saw many exploits of robots. Some robots were boxing, some were playing football, some were racing. These are the work of robots that entertain you. But now with the help of AI technology, robots are going to do many feats that can surprise mankind. Chinese scientists have developed a technology in which AI -run surgical robot operations will also be done. Earlier, it was reported from China that work on such robots is going on, which will be able to give birth to a human child. Such inventions are also surprised by scientists and doctors.
AI robot tested on alive pigs
According to the South China Morning Post report, a team from the Hong Kong -based Chinese University has created an AI system that controls a surgical robotic arm. This will act like the third hand of the surgeons. Robots will also be able to perform normal surgery. For example, removal of tissue, gauge (a small piece of cotton used during treatment) and closing of blood vessels, all of them will see help. With this, patients will not have to wait long for the operation, because the work will be fast. The first test of this technique was done on a living boar, which was successful.
What did AI Robot do during the test?
During the test, the research team along with a gastrointestinal surgeon underwent surgery to separate the pig’s stomach from the surrounding organs. During this time, AI Robot did many things. He picked up the gaz kept near his stomach. The gaz was stained with blood and its color turned red. Seeing the color of its color and tissue, the robot was once confused, but AI did it correctly. The most difficult task was to clip the blood vessel, as it required considerable experience. But the robot did it 4 out of 6 times.
Just as automatic cars have won confidence, AI robots will also win.
Do Qi, who led the research team, said that it is very important to ensure that AI surgical robots do surgery with full careful. He further said that as the trust of people increased on automatic vehicles and they were accepted, it would take time to adopt a surgical robot. To win the trust of the patients, the robot has to do everything with caution and complete security. The most important thing about this technique is that when the surgeon feels that AI robots are not functioning properly, they can control it themselves.
Earlier it seemed a dream, now very close to reality
This technique being developed in China is still in its early stages. Do QE and his team, who led the research, want more and more scientists to join this research. He has decided to open his surgical AI software, so that researchers from all over the world can use it for free. Dr. Qi believes that a few years ago automatic surgery seemed a dream, but now it is very close to reality.
