New Delhi, November 4 (IANS). It is common for women to suffer burn injuries while working in the kitchen. Many times, while cleaning the stove, one’s hand comes in contact with a hot vessel.
In such a situation, water or toothpaste is usually used to avoid irritation. But, they harm our skin. There are many home remedies available to avoid irritation, the use of which does not affect the skin.
In Ayurveda, irritation or burning is called ‘Dah’. In Ayurveda, burning conditions are divided into three types. In the first condition, only the upper surface of the skin is affected, while in the second condition, both the upper and inner layers are affected, while in the third condition, there is a very serious condition, in which the melting reaches the bones. In the third case, relief can be found only after medical treatment, but in the first case, the burning sensation can be relieved at home also.
There are many Ayurvedic remedies available to get relief from burning sensation. For this, aloe vera can be used on the affected area. Aloe vera provides cooling effect and also prevents swelling caused by burning. It can be used two-three times a day for burns. It also prevents stains caused by burning.
In case of burning, a paste of turmeric and neem will also provide relief. Make a paste by grinding turmeric and neem leaves and apply it on the affected area, this will prevent stains and will also reduce the risk of spread of dirty bacteria.
Use of cold water also provides relief from burning sensation to a great extent. In case of burning, the affected area should be soaked in cold water. This will reduce burning sensation and will also provide relief from body heat. Avoid using ice, as it increases the chance of blister formation.
Use of coconut and camphor can also help in preventing irritation and spots. For this, mix one camphor tablet with 1 teaspoon coconut oil and apply it on the affected area. With this, the skin heals better and no scars are formed.
