New Delhi. The security forces engaged in the anti -Naxal campaign in Chhattisgarh have once again got a big success. So far 10 Naxalites have been killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in the forests of Shobha and Mainpur police station area in Gariaband district. In this encounter, CC member of Naxalites, Modem Balakrishna alias Balanna alias Ramchandra alias Rajendra alias Manoj has also been killed. A reward of Rs 1 crore was declared on it. IG Amresh Mishra of Raipur Range said that the encounter is still going on and there is intermittent firing from both sides.
Modem Balakrishna was a big leader of Naxalites and his killing is a major achievement in the eyes of the security forces, while it is a big shock for the Naxalites. IG Amresh Mishra said that intelligence information was received about Naxal activity in the forests after which the team of Central Reserve Police Force’s Cobra Battalion, STF and District Police Force teams arrived in search of Naxalites. Hidden Naxalites started firing on security forces. False firing was also done by the security forces. At present, 10 Naxalites are reported to have been killed.

According to the police, all the Naxalites who surrendered were lower level cadres and were connected to various units including Janatana government, Chetna Natya Mandali and Maoists’ Panchayat. Let us tell you that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has talked about ending Naxalism from the whole by March 2026. He has also called many times to return to the mainstream, surrendering to the Naxalites. Along with this, security forces have also been given open exemption for anti -Naxal campaign.
