Hanumangarh. Awareness program was organized on Thursday on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day at Government Medical College, Hanumangarh. The program was chaired by Principal Dr. Kirti Shekhawat. He said in his address that neglect of mental health gives rise to serious trends like suicide, so it is necessary to promote the culture of positive thinking, dialogue and cooperation in students and society.
Nodal Officer Dr. O.P. Highlighting various measures for prevention of suicide, Solanki said that mental health awareness in the society is the biggest need today. Dr. Smita Yadav also presented the informative lectures in the program.
M.Phil of SKD University on this occasion. Trainee students performed an impressive theatrical performance based on suicide prevention, which was appreciated by the people present. Faculty members and medical students were present in large numbers in the program.
The main objective of the event was to increase sensitivity to suicide prevention and spread widespread awareness about mental health in the society.
