Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that our brave soldiers serve the nation selflessly in difficult circumstances, staying away from their families. It is because of their indomitable courage and sacrifice that all of us countrymen are able to live in peace and tranquility. He said that our ex-servicemen are not just retired persons but symbols of experience and discipline. His unwavering loyalty towards the nation is an inspiration for all of us. It is the duty of every citizen of the country to give due respect to the soldiers. Sharma on Sunday flagged off the ‘Honor Run’ marathon organized by the South Western Command of the Army in honor of the bravery and sacrifice of ex-servicemen at Albert Hall in Jaipur. This marathon was organized as part of various programs to commemorate Army Day (January 15). Addressing the marathon, the Chief Minister said that this race is an opportunity to express respect and gratitude to the immortal sons of our nation who sacrificed everything to protect the motherland. It aims to honor the courage, sacrifice and indomitable spirit of our ex-servicemen who have served the nation selflessly. The Chief Minister said that through Honor Run we want to give the message that Rajasthan stands shoulder to shoulder with its soldiers. He said that organizing Honor Run is an expression of our collective consciousness. He called upon the youth to contribute to the building of the country by taking inspiration from the sacrifice, sacrifice and patriotism of our brave soldiers.
Huge excitement and enthusiasm was seen in ‘Honor Run’
Honor Run Marathon held at Albert Hall had 3 categories of races of 5 Km, 10 Km and 21 Km. Army soldiers, ex-servicemen and common people took part in the marathon with great enthusiasm. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm with the chanting of Bharat Mata amid patriotic songs.
In the program, General Officer Commanding in Chief of the Army’s South Western Command, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh presented a memento to the Chief Minister. During this, former Navy Chief Admiral Madhavendra Singh and Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni along with a large number of army personnel, ex-servicemen and common people were present.
